Blog Hop Time Already!

Well, it's April 15th (did you get your taxes out?) and therefore, it's time for the H&M Stamps Blog Hop!

This month we needed to make something for Mother's Day or something for a wedding. I saw this awesome tutorial on SCS on how to make a woven basket. I just had to try it out! It was a challenge at first. My paper kept moving and so the dimensions are not accurate at all! I chose Pixie Pink and Basic Black with a touch of Very Vanilla. I love black and pink together and what a great combo it makes for weddings! I thought this adorable little basket could be used as a flower girl's basket. I added some vanilla roses. I was going to pull the petals off, but I wanted everyone to be able to see the roses in the basket.

The card is simple, yet elegant. I used Outdoor Fairy Tale Wedding from H&M Stamps. I stumbled upon this fun way to tie a bow. I don't think I've seen it anywhere else, or if I have, I never knew how EASY it was to make! :)

I hope you've enjoyed my project, hop on over to Heather's gallery and see her awesome creation. If you'd like to start at the beginning of H&M Stamps' Blog Hop, please visit Carolina's Blog!

I hope everyone is doing well! Thanks for stopping by today!

UPDATED 3/20/09 - Stampin' Up! Ink and Blog Candy!

Happy beautiful Monday to you! It is AWESOME outside! I hope everyone got to participate in the blog hop yesterday with H&M Stamps...what adorable projects, huh!?!?!

I posted yesterday that I would have some information for you and blog candy, too! Here's the information...my sister is getting rid of ALL of her stampin' stuff..I KNOW, RIGHT!?!?! She could never really get into the "hang" of it all and only used her supplies for Christmas cards 2 years ago. I have all of her stamping stuff in my craft room, and although I'm keeping most of it, she would like to sell a lot of it, too. I told her I would help her with it. Below is a list of the Stampin' Up! Classic Ink Pads that she is selling for $3.00 each. These stamp sets are practically BRAND NEW! Like I said, she used them for Christmas cards and that's it. So most of them, even though they are opened, haven't been used! I will pack as many as I can into a Flat Rate Small Box or Regular Sized Box. I'm choosing to use Flat Rate boxes, because in the long run, it's cheaper and a lot easier! If you only need/want a couple of ink pads, I will adjust the shipping.

So here's where the blog candy comes into play...I'm asking for all of your help to spread the word! If you would be so kind to post on your blog that I've got a TON of Stampin' Up! Ink Pads ready for a new home, I will enter you into my blog candy contest. I'm going to give out 25 yards of ribbon! I'm a ribbon fanatic and I have a ton to share with you all who are willing to help me (and my sister) out! I will be drawing a random winner on Monday, March 30th.

And here's the list - (updated 3/17/09)
Bold Brights
Brilliant Blue
Pixie Pink
Real Red

Soft Subtles
Barely Banana
Certainly Celery

Earth Elements
Old Olive

Rich Regals
Ballet Blue

Elegant Eggplant

Take with Teal

Neutrals
Basic Black (2 pads available)

07/08 In Colors
Cool Carribbean
Marigold Morning

08/09 In Colors

So in order to be eligible for the 25 yards of ribbon, leave me a comment and let me know that you've spread the word on a great deal! I hope you'll help me find these ink pads a nice stampin' home!

Thank you and happy stamping!

Tracy :)

Blog Hoppin'!

Good morning! Today is the first blog hop for the new 2009 H&M Stamps Design Team! You are going to see some AWESOME work with this hop! You can visit everyone's blog by checking out the links to the right, but from my blog, you'll hop on over to see Heather Klump's work. Heather doesn't have a blog, so you'll be directed to her amazing SCS Gallery! The theme for this month's blog hop is "Spring Has Sprung", so you're going to see some great colors and springy creations! If you'd like to hop around with the rest of us, visit Carolina's blog to start the fun.

I chose to create a treat box that was a Technique Challenge last week on SCS. I love to make little goody bags. I am not one who normally makes 3D projects, so I tend to make it cute and simple! The original instructions can be found HERE by the fantastic Julie Buhler. The directions are super simple and it makes such an adorable treat purse! I bought some delicious candy (of course I ate some!) and some cheap iridescent grass from Walgreens to spruce it up a bit.

The images I used are from Seasons of Trees from H&M Stamps. Don't waste any time and check out the 3 new sets that were released on March 1st! H&M Stamps is perfectly priced for today's economy! So are you ready to hop? Take a hop right over to Heather's gallery!

Have a great day! I'll be back tomorrow with a ton of information and some blog candy!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and hopping along!

A card for today!

Ya know, when it rains it pours...and for whatever reason, it hasn't stopped raining in my life! My son has been going through some tests and was finally diagnosed with ODD, anxiety, and depression. Yes, I said finally...as we have been struggling with our little guy for a year and I'm so thankful and relieved to finally know what's going on so that we can find help for him! It will be a rough road ahead of us, but we'll never look back and we'll move forward with a purpose! The poor guy is so sick right now...he had a scary 103 temp yesterday...like I said, when it rains, it pours!

Here are a couple of cards I made this week. This first one features Our Love from H&M Stamps. It's such an adorable image; I'm just horrible with "people" stamps. I always have been! I just don't know what to do with them! Not to mention, I don't have any of the fabulous Copic markers (I KNOW!), to make this phenomenal. I need to treat myself to some Copic Markers AND a coloring lesson. This sketch is from Julee's Monday Mojo Sketch Challenge (February 16)...always a good way to get the mojo' flowin! I like this card, it's just too "grandma-ish" for me...I guess that's what happens when you add an aged couple and some floral designer paper! :)

This next card is a favorite of mine...it's so simple, crisp and clean! I guess that's why it did so well for the Clean & Simple Challenge on Splitcoast. This was the first time I had participated in the crisp and clean challenge and I really think it's my way to go! This card was also made for SCS' Color Challenge - Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, and Kiwi Kiss. I don't know about you, but this screams summer, baby! Heck, I'm just ready for spring!

I used Coffee's-a-Brewin' from H&M Stamps. I colored the mugs with my Many Marvelous Markers and added some pearl Stickles for the "foam". Simple layers can do so much for a card...not to mention some great white space and a meaningful sentiment. Added an orange and yellow prima with a green button brad and called it good! I love it!

Stay tuned tomorrow for a sneak peak from H&M Stamps! I'm super excited about it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Mojo Monday, Baby!

I am back! I think I have my mojo back...thanks to Julee's Mojo Monday challenge! I have tons of designer paper, so this was a great sketch to use it for! This yummy designer paper is Ski Slope from Stampin' Up! I used Coffee's-A-Brewin' from H&M Stamps.

Speaking of H&M Stamps...the fabulous Heather has asked me to be a part of the 2009 Design Team for H&M Stamps! I'm super excited and totally stoked to share it with the following FANTASTIC ladies...

Carolina Buchting
Dawn Easton
Heather Klump
Heather Rolin
Julia Aston
Melissa Sauls
Suzanne Dean

and Guest Designers
Makiko Jones
Maria Gurnsey

I'll be posting a sneak peek to the new release for H&M Stamps on Saturday, so stay tuned! I also have 3 other cards that I've created over the past few days, so I'll post those this week, too! I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!
